A relaxed, family-owned hostel nestled among the palms in Playa El Palmarcito — a quiet, local beach community in El Zonte, La Libertad. Just a 3-minute walk from El Palmarcito Beach, Hammock Plantation lives up to its name with hammocks strung throughout the property, a refreshing outdoor pool, free WiFi, free private parking, a communal kitchen, coffee lounge, garden, and terrace.
The hostel offers dorm beds from $15 and private double rooms with queen-size beds, plus two shared bathrooms. Yoga classes and surfboard rentals are available on-site, and owner Mark also operates La Libertad Diving for scuba enthusiasts. The fruit truck arrives twice daily, there's a book exchange and board games, and filtered drinking water is always provided.
