About Pupusería Doña Blanca
A no-frills neighbourhood favourite in Apopa, north of San Salvador, Doña Blanca's has been a reliable lunchtime destination for working families since 1985. Doña Blanca herself still supervises the kitchen at age 72, ensuring every pupusa meets her exacting standards. The curtido is made three times daily to guarantee it is always perfectly fermented, and the tomato salsa is a closely guarded family recipe.
