The only dedicated surf school on eastern El Salvador's wild Pacific coast, operating right on the legendary black-sand beach of Playa El Cuco. While El Cuco is famous among experienced surfers for its powerful, hollow beach break, the southern end of the beach offers a more forgiving wave that's ideal for beginner and intermediate instruction. Founded by a local surfer who grew up riding El Cuco's consistent swells, the school offers small-group and private lessons for all levels, board rentals, and a unique whale watching and sunset boat tour during humpback whale season (July–October). El Cuco's remote location — 3 hours from San Salvador — keeps the beach uncrowded, making it one of the most authentic and unhurried surf experiences in the country.
